1.ELIGIBILITY

Allapplicantsshallbe:

·non-Chinesecitizens;

·ingoodphysical andmentalcondition,withgoodacademicperformanceandconduct;

·between the ages of 16 and 30 as of September 1st,2019.

2.SCHOLARSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATIONS

A. Scholarship for One-Academic-Year Study

Chinese Language Study 

·The program commences in September 2019, and provides scholarship for a maximum of 11 months. International students currently studying in Chinaarenoteligible. 

·Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK test(Level 3).

B. Scholarship for One-Semester Study

Chinese Languageand Literature,Chinese History and Chinese Philosophy 

·The program commences either in September 2019 or March 2020, and provides scholarship of a maximum of 5 months. Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa are not eligible. 

·Applicantsshallhaveaminimumscoreof180ontheHSKtest(Level 3),andanHSKKtestscoreisrequired

C. ZHEJIANG A&F UNIVERSITY CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE PROGRAM(COOPERATIVE PROGRAM)

Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban and Zhejiang A&F University has established a cooperative scholarship for the Confucius Institute at ZhejiangA&F University from 2019:

Master in Wood Science and Technology (20students)

Master in Landscaping (20students)

Master in Food Engineering (20students)

Chinese Language Training Program (20students) 

·The program commences in September 2019,and provides scholarship of two academic years. ·Applicants shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test(Level 4),and diploma in relevant research areas.
3.APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Online registration will be available from March 1, 2019 on Confucius Institute Scholarship website (cis.chinese.cn). Please log on to find recommendation institutions and host Institutions (the agency number of ZAFU is 10341). Submit application documents online, track the application process,feedback of review and admission results.The application deadlines are:

·May 20th (for programs commencing in September)

·November 20th (for programs commencing in March 2020)

4.CHINESE BRIDGE AWARD RECIPIENT POLICIES

Chinese Bridge winners who have been awarded the 2019 “Confucius Institute Scholarship Certificate” shall log onto the scholarship website and submit documents to relevant host institutions upon presentation of their CIS certificates.Forinquiry,please contact chinesebridge@hanban.org.
